About The Event
With expected over than 10000 runners and walkers, the “Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” will be one of the premier running events in Oman. Salalah is a destination town on the beautiful Oman country. Demographic studies show that the arrival of runners from UAE people makes a huge impact on a town which has a population of about 165,000. Many of these people make a vacation of the trip and spend a number of days in the city and participate in the marathon, resulting in additional positive impact. We welcome and encourage your participation.

Health Connect Oman in partnership with Oman Athletic Association (OAA) is hosting a “Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” (SalalahMarathon.com) on August 15 & 16, 2019.
“Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” vision is to raise awareness on risks leading to Strokes and Heart Attacks via sport as there has been progressively alarming increased incidence of such devastating widow makers in young Omanis over these past three years. The other in-country value of “Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” is to further advocate Oman’s vision 2040 and Oman Health vision 2050 jointly focusing on expanding healthy life expectancy.
The “Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” has been designed to accommodate all-ages and all-genders in keeping with its core vision. A 2 km “kids Run for Fun” a 10 km “Run for Fitness”, and 42 km “Run for Survival” Full-marathon. All routes traverse the beautiful thrilling landscape of Salalah-Taqah coastal highway. A breathtaking route timed at mid of the beautiful August. The “Clot Survivors Salalah Marathon” is the biggest event of Salalah Festival for this 2019.

10 Km " Run to Survive" Race Starts 8:00 AM.
2 Km " Run for fun" for Kids (minimum age 8 years old): Race Starts 12:30 PM.
Friday, August 16:
Full Marathon 42 Km: Race Starts 8:00 AM.
